Coffee, Ghosts, and College

Brigid doesn't expect studying psychology at the Univeristy of Washington to include tracking down a murdering sorcerer. Of course, she doesn't expect to set her hand on fire with a word while showing her friends Tiffany and Trent how magic doesn't really work, either. To top it off, as they hike up the Ave in search of apple pie to calm Brigid down, she slides across the ice and crashes into Preacher John. She thinks he's sleeping until his ghost stands up and walks off. A ghost means murder.

As more people die, the friends resort to breaking into teachers' houses in search of clues.

Brigid discovers Tiffany is only half-human, and Trent has a girlfriend. She isn't sure which is more disturbing. Even worse, she can't figure out if there's something magical going on with the math building, or if it's just the weirdness of math majors.

With students and visitors dying twice a month, Bridig has plenty of suspects but not much time to stop the sorcerer's final plan. If she fails, thousands will die. And if she succeeds, how will she deal with the police and the cute detective she's been trying to flirt with?
